New Belgium's Tour de Fat raises record $500,000 in 2012: Craft breweries are stalwart members of their communities, supporting them with donations, fundraisers and more --- Oregon brewers are estimated to have given back more than $1.5 million in donations of time, money and beer during 2011. On a national level, New Belgium reports that its freewheeling, far-ranging celebration of the bikey lifestyle, raised a record $500,000 this year.
